John Myklebust John Myklebust has extensive experience in all phases of architectural project management from concept design, prototype development, and construction documentation to on-location installation. He has a demonstrated record in project delivery by building strong, competent professional teams to meet tactical and strategic challenges. John's wide-ranging experience includes CEO of MBA Architects, a nationally recognized leader in retail architecture and one of the largest firms in Wisconsin; corporate architect and director of design and architecture for Sam Goody; director of architecture for Stephen Spielberg's GameWorks, and later a principal designer of the second phase of CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood. Throughout his career John has been a creative team leader for the design of multi-location, complex retail projects throughout the US. As an architect, John understands the architectural design issues and challenges in lighting within the vision of the design architect. As a specialist in lighting he directs lighting design of architectural, entertainment, retail, institutional, and residential projects, and consistently seeks creative, efficient lighting systems, and embraces new technological and strategic opportunities. His experience in design and construction coupled with many years in lighting design, signage and related technologies, is an asset to the project development team. In 2000, John founded LIGHTshow, a subsidiary of Myklebust Company, to provide professional lighting design services. John believes that good lighting is one of the most critical components of a successful architectural environment. LIGHTshow is an extension of his dedication to delivering excellent design services.
